Clear braces is something of a misnomer, as these are not braces at all. Instead, they are clear plastic retainers that move teeth just as braces do. Rather than directing pressure through an archwire, they do it through the shape of the aligners.
These aligners are removable and comfortable. Each is worn for about two weeks, with the patient removing them when eating, drinking, brushing, and flossing. The patient makes adjustments by changing aligners, so you visit the office less often.
Treatment time is about 15 months, sometimes less. However, clear braces are not right for all patients. Schedule an appointment to find out if they are right for you.
